Based in Harpenden, UK office, the Customer Service Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of EMEA customer service team for Gowan Crop Protection. This role is based in the office.


This person needs to have a high level of attention to detail, ability to train and communicate with a team of up to 4 persons. Key resource to Gowan Sales professionals, external customer base and internal Supply Chain and Finance functions. Reports to Supply chain manager.

 

Duties


  • Supervise local employees in daily operations
  • Assist in training, back up and assistance
  • Have a proficiency in ERP systems specifically JD Edwards Enterprise (Oracle)
  • Oversee training to new and current employees
  • Have a proficiency in country specific needs for order exporting and ensure up to date order check list per customers are being maintained within group
  • Ensure compliance of all exporting regulations and guidelines within group
  • Have a proficiency in Road, Sea and Air logistics, work with brokers and forwarders
  • Oversee inventory integrity in warehouses to include FIFO practices and aging inventory
  • Work with various departments such as manufacturing, labelling, demand and supply planning and finance group
  • Perform monthly checks and assurance of orders with customer service reps at month end close
  • Communicate as needed with company regional managers/ sales
  • Fortnightly meetings with the team to ensure if process steps are on time secured with every order
  • Guiding team on the management of Supply chain and Logistics activities

Required skills, knowledge

  • Proficient in Oracle - JD Edwards E1 or similar ERP system such as SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to work and manage a wide range of people
  • Established ability to manage simultaneous urgent tasks
  • Demonstrates advanced problem solving and communication skills
  • Able to travel abroad if necessary to include Europe and United States
  • Strong computer skills to enable mastery of ERP system and Cognos reporting software
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Highly organized, self-directed, motivated person
