Location: Home based, UK (with occasional travel to our London office)

Reports to: Director of Curriculum

Hours: 37.5  per week

Salary: Depending on experience

 Role Overview: 

As a Project Manager at Cambridge Spark, you will be responsible for successfully delivering educational training programmes from development kickoff to completion. Working closely with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams, you will ensure the efficient execution of product development initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting strategic objectives.


Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation schedules for curriculum and learning product development.
  • Establish project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with Product Managers and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain project plans via Notion ensuring effective tracking of project tasks. 
  • Contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups and sprint retrospectives 
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure deadlines are me
  • Identify resource requirements and allocate subject matter experts effectively across project activities.
  • Manage external resources ensuring compliance with project briefs/purchase orders
  • Contribute to external resource pipeline planning through early identification of project resource requirements.
  • Manage project budgets and track expenses to ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and resolve project issues promptly to minimise impact on deliverables.
  • Escalate project issues where appropriate. 
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate testing and review cycles with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track project metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and best practices.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong relationships.
  • Provide regular project updates through appropriate channels. 


Candidate Specification: 

Essential 

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a similar role, preferably within an Agile environment.  
  • Strong skills in product development planning, including the ability to collaborate with stakeholders, create development plans, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective in cross-functional collaboration, working with diverse teams to successfully develop and deliver projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in the use of technical collaboration & communication tools such as Google Workspace, Looker Data Studio & learner management systems.
  • Proficient in the use of Project Management tools such as Notion. 

Desirable 

  • Experience in the education or training sector.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and educational technology.
  • Experience with Git and version control concepts.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles.
