Every pay day is an opportunity to build better money habits. We make it easy. Employees can accelerate retirement savings with tax-efficient pension top-ups, build a safety net effortlessly with auto savings, or access their already-earned salary ahead of pay day for emergencies.

Reports to: Head of Marketing | Location: Hybrid, London

About the role

Employers choose us as an employee benefit, but we only succeed when their people use what we offer. We're looking for a marketer to own the journey that turns our million plus users into active, engaged members.

You'll own CRM and lifecycle marketing from first sign-up to long-term engagement, including our always-on email channel, our most successful channel for conversion. It's a hands-on role where you'll plan, build, send and optimise the communications that drive activation, cross-sell and retention.

What you'll do

You'll design and run the member journey end-to-end: onboarding, activation, cross-sell across our products, retention and reactivation. You'll build segments, write and test campaigns, and use the data to decide what to say, to whom and when.

On a typical day you might:

  • Build an onboarding sequence for a newly launched employer

  • Spot a drop-off between sign-up and first use, then test a fix

  • Build next week’s always-on campaigns to existing members

What we're looking for

  • Deep CRM expertise - 3+ years hands-on with at least one major CRM (We’re moving to HubSpot from Emarsys)

  • Excellent copywriting - 2+ years writing crisp, persuasive consumer copy

  • Data and testing - Confident with segmentation, A/B testing and reporting

  • Start-up experience - You know the challenges that come with tight deadlines, competing priorities and doing stuff that hasn’t been done before

Bonus points

  • Fintech experience - Experience in financial services or financial wellbeing, including awareness of financial promotions rules

  • AI-workflows - Yes, we know. Still, everyone team member must know the difference between creating effective workflows and creating god-awful AI slop

  • App-based marketing - You've built and optimised automated journeys for a consumer app, using push and in-app messaging alongside email to drive activation and engagement

The type of person you are

  • You obsess over customer experience - You notice a clunky journey the way others notice a typo, and you can't leave it alone until it's fixed

  • You sweat the small stuff - Subject lines, send times, a broken link in email four of six

  • You care about everything - The member, the result, the quality of the work. Good enough isn't a phrase you use

  • You're high agency - You don't wait to be told. You spot the problem, own it and get it live

  • You get stuff done - You'd rather ship, learn and improve than polish a plan forever

Success in this role looks like

More members activating, using more of our products and staying engaged. You'll be measured on conversion between journey stages and on CRM's contribution to active users and revenue.

Our Interview Process

Stage 1 | People & Culture Call – An initial screening call to learn more about your experience, motivations and what you're looking for in your next role.

Stage 2 | Hiring Manager Interview – A 45-minute interview with the Head of Marketing to explore experience in more detail, and give you the opportunity to learn more about the team and what we're building.

Stage 3 | Practical Exercise – A final-stage practical exercise designed to give you the opportunity to demonstrate how you would approach some of the key areas of the role. You'll receive a briefing and any relevant context in advance so you have time to prepare.
