At GoCardless, we're all about supporting you! We’re committed to making our hiring process inclusive and accessible. If you need extra support or adjustments, reach out to your Talent Partner — we’re here to help!

And remember: we don’t expect you to meet every single requirement. If you’re excited by this role, we encourage you to apply!

The role

We’re looking for a CRM Lead to own and scale customer lifecycle communications that drive adoption, engagement, and long-term value for GoCardless customers. Reporting into the Director of Growth, you will lead a team of three and work closely with Marketing Operations and cross-functional stakeholders—including Product, Partnerships, and Sales—to craft impactful lifecycle strategies and campaigns.

You’ll shape the direction, execution, and measurement of lifecycle initiatives across multiple channels—email, in-app banners, chatbots, and more—while ensuring the team delivers campaigns that improve customer experience and accelerate revenue growth.

What excites you

  • Set the strategic direction for lifecycle marketing, aligning campaigns with company growth objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of three, fostering a culture of impact, ownership, and learning.
  • Partner with Product, Partnerships, and Marketing Operations to extend the reach, relevance, and sophistication of lifecycle communications.
  • Oversee planning and prioritisation of lifecycle campaigns, ensuring timely delivery across key touchpoints and channels.
  • Use CRM platforms to execute operational sends and ensure business-critical communications run smoothly.
  • Define and track key KPIs, using data and experimentation to optimise engagement and campaign performance.
  • Champion best practices in CRM, enabling the team to continually raise the bar in execution and customer impact.

What excites us

  • Proven experience in CRM or lifecycle marketing roles, ideally in a SaaS or B2B environment.
  • Strong track record of developing and managing cross-channel customer engagement strategies.
  • Data-driven and analytical—you know how to identify insights, measure impact, and optimise campaigns.
  • Skilled at balancing strategy with execution: able to zoom out and set direction while managing day-to-day delivery.
  • Excellent collaborator with experience influencing and partnering across functions.
  • A proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys developing team capability.

We don’t expect you to meet every requirement. If you’re excited by this role, we encourage you to apply.

Base salary range:

Leeds - £60,000 - £90,000
London - £63,200 - 94,800

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data.  Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point (Leeds:  £60,000 - £75,000 London: £63,200 - £79,000) of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
