Job requirements
Role Summary:
You will support the Pension Administration business with the timely and efficient management of outstanding debts, optimizing cashflow and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
This is a hybrid position where you will work from Chichester Aptia office, as well as from your home address. Its a 6 months contract role.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring overdue debts are chased in a timely and professional manner.
Communicating with clients and customers regarding outstanding balances, setting up payment plans where necessary, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Partner with offshore team in India to reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or issues related to outstanding invoices.
Maintain accurate records of communications and payments, providing regular reports on the status of outstanding debts to senior management.
Assist in reviewing and setting appropriate credit limits for new and existing clients.
Support the wider finance team in ensuring cash flow targets are met and helping to optimise working capital.
Establish efficient and effective processes for the Credit Control team.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Experience in a credit control role, ideally within a financial services or pension administration business.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive client conversations professionally.
Ability to maintain accurate records, with a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and credit control systems.
Institute of Credit Management full or part-qualification preferred (could be working towards one).
Familiarity with pension administration and associated financial processes would be an advantage but not essential.
