Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.
This role is eligible for a £1500 new joiner bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.
What Will You Do?
Ensure cash is collected from the our brokers within credit terms.
Prepare, submit and maintain bad debts sent to Debt Collectors. Attend court / bankruptcy hearings and present evidence as required.
Provide support for colleagues on credit control related issues.
Agree performance targets and work towards successful achievement.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with external contacts and liaise with relevant parties internally on quality of service provided.
Ensure that default procedures are adhered to. Liaising with other employees as necessary.
When appropriate, establish reasons for and report on discrepancies between Travelers and broker statements.
Evaluate information received and communicate as appropriate to all relevant parties.
Prepare and send to the brokers, a monthly statement of account.
Liaise with the Credit Control Supervisor on any account issue in excess of individual handling authority or outside personal experience.
Liaise with overseas partners in the collection of their debt.
Accurately record, input, allocate and scan cash received and sent.
Perform daily and monthly ledger reconciliations.
Process and reconcile cheque and outgoing payment requests.
Liaise with Credit Controllers in respect of all cash related data.
Any other reasonable duties.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?- Credit control experience within insurance or within a Business to Business (B2B) environement preferred.
- Good working experience of excel and word.
- Able to demonstrate good teamwork
- Intermediate numeracy skills.
- Intermediate communication skills.
- Previous credit control experience.
- Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
