Credit Controller (FTC) - The role:
Are you ready to contribute your financial skills and business acumen to a renowned global law firm? Linklaters is searching for dedicated Credit Controllers to join our dynamic Finance team in London. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive and commercially focused credit control services.
These roles are availability on a 9-12 month fixed term contract basis.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Debt Management: Partner with Senior Credit Controllers and Practice Groups to chase debts, manage debtor balances on matter files, and uphold our Credit Management Process.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Divisional Heads, Finance Partners, and other key figures to manage the firm's debt profile and contribute to a seamless exchange of cash inflow information.
- Influence and Communication: Conduct regular meetings with fee earners to achieve cash targets, monitor partner meetings using the COLLECT system, and participate in both internal and external meetings advising on debtor balances.
- Report Management: Provide financial reports to Practice Groups on essential metrics like cash collections, cash trends, and debtor days while liaising on the business need and report formats.
- Direct Client Interaction: Take charge of direct communications with Clients regarding debtor balances, contributing to a positive impression of Linklaters’ Finance services.
Credit Controller (FTC) - What we're looking for:
- At least two years' experience in a Professional Services environment with a focus on credit control, ideally having a minimum of five years’ experience in a law firm.
- Strong understanding of bill and eBill processes, Solicitors Accounts Rules, and VAT for law firms billing.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior management and deal confidently with clients.
- Robust organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage workloads efficiently.
- Strong Excel proficiency and familiarity with general IT and finance systems.
- A keen interest in the market, including understanding our clients and industry trends.
