About Nothing

Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again.

We’re building a different kind of technology company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look and feel to how we communicate and show up in culture, we believe technology should make you feel something.

Founded in London in 2020, we’ve grown from idea to global challenger in just a few years. Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, and C Ventures, and investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’re now sold in 40+ markets with millions of users worldwide.

About the Team

This role sits at the intersection of founder-led thought leadership and fast, open digital culture. We are building something better by ensuring our founder, Carl, shows up as a direct, sharp, and human voice—not a corporate suit. Your purpose is to cement Carl Pei's position as a Challenger-Minded , founder-led voice in the tech industry, directly supporting Nothing's narrative. We move fast because we’re small and independent. You'll work primarily with the CEO and the Content Lead, and occasionally draw on external production support, requiring you to manage external freelancers effectively.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the Content Lead to build and execute the overall content strategy for the CEO’s personal channels, mixing long-form YouTube with fast short-form platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts).
  • Develop a continuous pipeline of original formats, blending sharp thought leadership, behind-the-scenes access, trend-reactive pieces, and culturally aware storytelling.
  • Write scripts, captions, and concepts that sound authentic to Carl’s unique direct voice and energy, not like generic marketing copy.
  • Direct shoots with the CEO and other team members, creating a relaxed, natural, and high-trust environment to achieve a human and direct presence on screen.
  • Produce content from end to end: pitching clear ideas, scripting, directing, shooting, and overseeing post-production to ensure designed quality.
  • Track performance and interpret data insights, using them to iterate quickly and smartly across different platforms to maintain a clear point of view.
  • Stay on top of cultural moments, internet trends, and creator breakthroughs, knowing exactly when (and when not) to jump in to ensure we cut through.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a creative producer, video journalist, or content lead, ideally for a founder, creator, or other personality-driven channel.
  • A strong, sharp grasp of all major video platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Shorts, Reels), understanding platform-native best practices to ensure content feels right for each feed.
  • Excellent writing and scripting skills, with the pragmatism to fluidly adapt your voice and tone to match the CEO's personal, opinionated perspective.
  • Confidence in directing non-professional talent; you know how to establish a high-trust environment and make people look natural and human.
  • A true owner mindset with the drive to manage end-to-end production—from a clear concept to final execution, either solo or leading a small team.
  • Strong visual instincts; you know how to make things look good and feel culturally relevant to Gen Z and millennial audiences.
  • A genuine passion for tech, designed products, and culture, and the ability to articulate why our community should care about what we’re building.

How We Work

  • We build better tech by moving fast. That speed demands direct collaboration and shared creative energy. We believe the best work happens when we're together.
  • Location: London (Kings Cross & Farringdon offices).
  • Working Pattern: This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days a week). We move fast, and that means being physically present. We design flexibility around personal needs, but we focus on the magic that sparks when we’re all in the same room.
  • Commute: We ask that you live within a 60-minute commute of your home office location.
