Job Title: Creative Lead - Maternity Cover
Manager: Creative Director
Location:
UK (London hybrid/remote)
Contract Type: 12 month contract

💼 The Role

This role is about providing senior creative leadership across MES's video and design output while the current Creative Lead is on maternity leave, setting and protecting the quality of performance marketing content for the team, and developing new creative territory as the brand system matures.

You'll give creative and quality feedback to the design and edit team, take on design and visual direction of MES's brand toolkits once handed over from the Creative Director, and partner with the Copy Lead on scripts for performance marketing content.

Experience creating content at scale for performance marketing is a must.

⚙️ What you’ll do
  • Give creative and quality feedback to the design and edit team on work in progress

  • Take on design and visual direction of MES's brand toolkits in partnership with the Brand Content Lead, who owns copy content.

  • Develop new creative concepts and content options - particularly moving beyond recycling existing content into the new brand system.

  • Partner with the Copy Lead on script writing for performance marketing content.

  • Set the quality standard reflected in briefs, in partnership with the Studio Manager, who handles the logistics of getting that brief to the team.

🙋 Who we’re looking for
  • Senior creative role (art direction, design lead, or similar) with direct experience giving feedback to a team of makers.

  • Comfortable stepping into an existing brand system and toolkit rather than building one from scratch.

  • Scriptwriting or close scriptwriting collaboration experience for short-form video

  • Confident being hands on and mentoring/feeding back to a team of designers and editors.

LOVE TO BE WRONG Push boundaries. Be outside your comfort zone. Naturally you'll get some things wrong and that's okay. Embrace feedback. Learn from it and get closer to excellence.

WIN TOGETHER To achieve our mission, we have to work together. We all have a role to play, so help each other get there. We’re stronger as a team so inspire, support and respect each other.

🙋 Why you’ll love working here

We’re a team on a mission to transform education for the better. Joining MES means you’ll be part of something ambitious, fast-moving, and full of purpose. Here’s what you can expect:

  • The chance to make a real impact: your work directly shapes the future of education.

  • A fast-paced and high-growth environment where ideas move quickly and careers accelerate.

  • A collaborative, supportive culture: we’re head quartered in the UK, but we’re a global team with colleagues in 15+ countries, bringing a rich mix of perspectives and energy.

We are committed to building a diverse team and strongly encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds. We believe diverse perspectives make us stronger and help us build a better product for students around the world.
