Creative Designers x 3 roles

  • Location: Vauxhall, London
  • Hybrid: 2 days in office and 3 days WFH
  • Salary: Listed below

At ClearScore, we’re building a best-in-class, global Creative Studio to help serve all our markets with our customer-focused creative communications and designs. So this is the chance for some ambitious multi-talented designers to join a growing dynamic and modern studio which is part of an exciting maturing fintech business.

Who we're looking for:

We have a need for not one, not two, but three creative designers who have a passion for creating communications and content that will engage our audiences.

Mid-to-Senior Creative Designer

(salary range £57K - £67K)

For this role, you’ve probably got between 5-8 years’ experience working as a designer who is accomplished at working on communications, content and campaigns. You’ll be digital-first (of course) and know how to create assets for a wide range of platforms. You’ll be conceptual, ideas lead, able to work together with conceptual writers to bring ideas to life, and you’ll have a hunger to learn new skills to broaden your capabilities.

You may come from an agency background, or from another in-house studio, but either way, your passion for design, craft and communications that have an impact must show through in your portfolio.

Creative Designer

(salary range £44K - £52K)

For this role, you’ll most likely have between 3 - 5 years’ experience working as a designer who loves communications, content and campaigns. As a digital native designer you’ll be all over the social platforms and know how to catch people’s eyes with your designs, then pull them through to engage with the content. You’ll love ideas, you’ll be keen to learn and work with everyone and anyone, and you may even have some nifty AI skills that could improve the studio’s efficiencies too.

While this won’t be your first job, you’re probably looking for somewhere where you can settle into for solid stint and start to create your best work for a brand that cares as much for its employees as it does its customers.

Creative Designer (with a motion design skills)

(salary range £44K - £52K)

You’re an up-and-coming young designer who knows that today’s brands should never stay static. And as such you not only create stand out static designs and layouts, but you also bring them to life through motion and animation. Your work moves and that moves audiences. As a ‘T-shaped’ designer, you’ll be able to turn your hand to many tasks and be hungry to collaborate with our copywriters and video producers to bring a new level of fidelity and motion to our brand.

What you'll be working on?

No two days are the same in the studio and the work we do is rich, varied and multi-channel, so you’ll be expected to shape-shift your skills across all sorts of different things. So what does that mean? Well, we do all the typical things you’d expect a business to do like campaigns, emails, landing pages, socials, films, motion graphics…all the way through to printed assets and large-scale events.

The tools of our trade:

Besides our creative brains, FIGMA is our creative weapon of choice when it comes to day-to-day concepting, so this is a ‘must-have’ skill. We also create a lot of other designs in Adobe Creative Suite, so your go-to tools here would be PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR, and INDESIGN. These are the mainstay of what we use and we don’t have time train people from scratch. So please consider this before applying.

We also make a lot of video content, animations and illustrations, so if you’re a dab-hand with ADOBE PREMIERE, AFTER EFFECTS and ADOBE EXPRESS, that will certainly bump you up the consideration list.

Good housekeepers:

All our designers must have good admin skills. Yeah, we know, it’s not the sexy bit, but knowing how to save your work, size assets and tag them, and co-maintain the library is essential so our markets around the world can find what they want as quickly and easily as possible. So you must work tidily and be diligent.

Ambition:

We want people who are hungry to learn. While you’ll have good skills already, and can undoubtedly teach us a thing or two, you’re not the finished articles yet. You want to grow, you want to learn, you will be inquisitive and curious for what’s next, and not be afraid to give it a go.

Recap on the skills:

  • A dab hand with FIGMA and the Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Adobe Express)
  • For Role 3 (Creative designer with Motion skills) Proficient in using Adobe After Effects and using editing software like Premiere or Final Cut.
  • You love generating ideas, concepts and communications.
  • You’ll care about customers and how they perceive a brand.
  • A meticulous eye for detail, with a love of photography and a passion for typography
  • Strong organisational skills with experience looking after libraries of assets such as templates, product shots and photography
  • An appreciation of layouts, white space, grids and content hierarchy.
  • Experience producing marketing collateral, from print to clothing and accessories

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with design systems
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Experience working with global brand across a number of markets

To be Successful:

  • You must have a digital portfolio of design, animation, film demonstrating capability
  • You must be UK based and able to work in our London Office 2 days per week or more
  • You must like Nando’s, Boxer dogs, Star Wars
