About the Role

JD.com is seeking a proactive and creative intern to join our Design team. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful visual solutions that align with our brand vision. This internship offers hands-on experience in translating strategic goals into compelling visual narratives, providing an opportunity to push creative boundaries and contribute to innovative projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Design brand-aligned assets such as e-commerce banners, promotional landing pages, ads, and sales/marketing collateral.
  • Adapt existing creative assets to meet evolving campaign needs.
  • Present design concepts to internal teams, gather actionable feedback, and refine deliverables.
  • Collaborate on cross-department projects, balancing creativity with brand guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or related fields (BA/MA).
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and rapid prototyping tools.
  • Understanding of typography, color theory, and UX best practices.
  • Ability to independently produce banners, posters, and simple digital interfaces.
  • A portfolio showcasing 2-3 projects demonstrating your problem-solving process, not just final visuals.

Why JD.com?

  • Work on innovative projects in a startup style environment.
  • Collaborate with a talented and diverse team of professionals.
  • Opportunity for high-performing interns to join us permanently.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and portfolio showcasing your design work. You can submit your portfolio through the cover letter attachment or include the link to your website. We value potential over experience, so even if you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply.
