Why Sony Interactive Entertainment?

Sony Interactive Entertainment isn’t just the Best Place to Play — it’s also the Best Place to Work. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is the company behind the PlayStation brand. As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Role overview:

SIE aims to support PlayStation as the Best Place to Play and Work by improving global collaboration through IT systems. The SIE IT – IT Foundational Services department implements, enhances and supports products and services that underpin PlayStation’s business operations. COUPA is a strategic solution in this space, and the platform currently comprises SAP S/4HANA, BW, IBP and COUPA. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on COUPA Technical/Functional Lead to drive, manage and support the delivery of technical solutions to ensure that the platform continues to meet the needs of SIE globally.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the design and development of new architecture and major functional upgrades released by COUPA for the most advanced capabilities of the COUPA Platform.
  • Build solid expertise of the entire COUPA application suite and leverage this knowledge to better design application and data frameworks for SIE.
  • Adhere to COUPA iterative development processes to deliver concrete value each release while driving longer-term technical vision.
  • Act as the sounding board for architecture standards and patterns, with a demonstrated passion for advocating their accurate usage and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Participate in defect analysis for maintenance releases to ensure robust functional resolution to customer-facing issues.
  • Own the prioritization, management, and reporting of progress against identified Finance initiatives.
  • Work closely with the SAP and MuleSoft team to define requirements for E2E flow.
  • Validate the approach for delivery of system changes to ensure accurate testing and documentation is completed.
  • Contribute to interface design and coordinate and assist with integration testing as required.
  • As required, work closely with internal and third-party technical teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across the SAP platform.

What we are looking for:

At PlayStation, we are motivated by the goal of maintaining PlayStation as the top destination for gaming and employment. This motivation is rooted in our core values: we are seeking individuals to join us who are enthusiastic, innovative, and have a collaborative approach.

These values and behaviors are evident throughout your previous experience:

  • Proven hands-on experience of COUPA configurations and administration, with a skilled understanding of underlying SAP financial table structures and data elements.
  • Working successfully across the full lifecycle of technology-enabled change: from requirements definition through solution design, build, testing to transition to live operation.
  • Sound understanding of the following areas:
    •  COUPA and COUPA marketplace products
    •  SAP S4/HANA
    • Analytics and Reporting through SAP/COUPA platforms
    • Purchasing and their key integration points with Finance functional areas
  • Working effectively with offshore/near shore service providers.
  • Collaborating with a diverse range of collaborators and audiences within a matrix organization.
  • Skilled at influencing and negotiation, at ease interacting with senior collaborators and open to questioning them with logical arguments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, social, and decision-making skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, working well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions and changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Please note, Sony Interactive Entertainment conducts background checks at the offer stage for all new employees (which may include criminal background checks for some roles) and will need to process personal information to support these checks.
