Job Description

We are looking for a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave within the Cost Partnering Team looking after Operations and Product & Technology. 

You’ll be supporting the Head of Finance Business Partners looking after Operations and P&T on a wide range of financial analysis; influencing decision making and improving the understanding of business performance.

You'll be producing and reporting on financial information in a timely and accurate way, delivering high quality insight to effectively support key strategic decisions.

Main:

  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for assigned cost centres considering relevant activity data, cost pressures and business developments and liaise with stakeholders to agree budgetary submissions
  • Meet regularly with budget holders to assess financial performance and to provide financial management information, insight and analysis
  • Continuously improve the granularity and accuracy financial reporting and analysis to aid the business decision making including building standard CC reporting packs for Operations and P&T
  • Support the Heads of Finance Business Partnering to create detailed headcount and people cost reporting on monthly basis for CC owners and Project Romer steerco
  • Work closely with the Heads of Finance Business Partnering to determine a standard process for assessing and measuring ROI of key projects to aid the process of prioritisation
  • Assess financial impact and identify opportunities for cost saving and process improvement, demonstrate an interest in and working knowledge of Operations and P&T
  • Produce ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required in the support of the Cost Partnering function
  • Work closely with Financial control function to support group, internal and statutory audits
  • Support the Heads of Finance Business Partners and the wider Finance function with other ad hoc tasks as and when required.
  • Ensure that the impact of new systems, processes and initiatives such as Anaplan are appropriately considered and incorporated into the existing reporting and controls environment

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with relevant experience in a multi-divisional global business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate and influence effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Experience of budgeting, planning and forecasting across multiple divisions and currencies.
  • Experience in using financial reporting tools such as Oracle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-organised with ability to deal with multiples projects and priorities
  • Able to work independently, efficiently and accurately in a time sensitive environment
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial and organisational acumen
  • Some experience of transactional and procurement processes (AP, Cash)
  • Experience of working in a regulatory environment
