Job Description

Turner & Townsend is a leading management consultancy in the Data Centre sector. Drawing on our expertise, processes, and industry knowledge, we deliver market-leading services to our clients. Our extensive experience and market intelligence enable us to provide proactive, value-added solutions across all areas of the sector, supporting global technology clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support feasibility studies and procurement reports.
  • Prepare cost estimates and cost plans, including the presentation of final cost plans.
  • Manage tendering and procurement activities, including pre-qualification processes, tender analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage post-contract cost variations and change control processes.
  • Conduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports.
  • Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout all project stages.
  • Lead cost management teams, promoting accountability and high-quality service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support business growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost management procedures, templates, and service offerings.
  • Ensure key project information and lessons learned are captured within internal knowledge management systems.
  • Monitor financial performance using FMS.
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for process improvement.
  • Review commission management quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying
  • Chartered with the RICS, or equivalent
  • Strong measurement and cost planning expertise (NRM2)
  • JCT / NEC / FIDIC experience
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
  • Excellent people person and great communicator, both internal and external
