The Role

A highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Development Associate to support the growth of our business through strategic initiatives, M&A and investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and financial analysis, with a passion for scaling tech businesses. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing strategic growth opportunities, working closely with the Financial Strategy Director and other senior leaders across the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Strategy & Execution: Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and executing M&A, investment / fundraising opportunities and other corporate events. 
  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, valuations, and strategic analysis to support investment decisions and due diligence efforts.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Prepare presentations, KPI packs, investment memorandums and strategic reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Due Diligence & Process Management: Manage day-to-day deal workstreams and due diligence process, liaising with third parties stakeholders, building and maintaining dataroom. 
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth trends and new opportunities in the tech landscape.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Support in structuring and negotiating terms of strategic deals and partnerships.
  • Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships with industry participants and investor community to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus).
  • Experience: Considerable experience in corporate development, strategy, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field, preferably in the tech or scale-up space.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statements.
  • Presentation Skills: Expert in building professional looking presentations using powerpoint, google slides or similar tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to conduct detailed market research, analyze data, and develop actionable insights
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for a range of audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: High level attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently and effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: A passion for technology and an understanding of the tech industry’s dynamics and challenges.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset, capable of working cross-functionally with various departments and senior leadership. Possesses strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
