Strong relationships with internal stakeholders are a must, and you'll need to effectively collaborate with colleagues around the company to solve intricate problems. You’ll work with outside counsel, help educate our internal clients, and play a role in building out our privacy program.

This is a great opportunity for a young lawyer to work in tech at a leading technology company that is growing quickly, scaling wisely and offering tremendous opportunity for someone who is willing to jump on board and do what it takes. And finally, we are seeking someone who will care deeply about the employee experience and is able to enjoy and contribute to fostering a positive work culture.

This role will report to the Director - Privacy and DPO who is based in London, UK. This team member will be London-based and must be able to work in the office a few days a week.

These activities include, but are not limited to,  updating policies and notices (cookies, website, employee, candidate, data retention, etc.) and ensuring correct filing of old and new versions, completing data protection impact assessments, data mapping, and responding to and managing data subject requests.
  • Assist on customer negotiations and advise on vendor and Data Protection Addenda.
  • Assist customer-facing teams with prospect and customer privacy questions.
  • Advise global marketing teams on country specific marketing laws that impact their initiatives.
  • Ad hoc privacy project work, such as policy and process updates and enabling teams on their implementation, and monitoring compliance. Driving privacy projects will typically require legal research skills, developing resources and training, and demonstrating project management skills.
  • Respond to customer queries that come into the privacy inbox.
  • Work on internal and external audits, including contributing to security accreditations as far as the themes relate to data protection, and respond to questionnaires.
