Team/Role Overview:

The Core Trade Network organisation was created and formalised as part of the Citi re-organisation and covers a range of Trade Services products, including Letters of Guarantee, Import/Export Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections. The successful candidate will support the wider Middle East & Africa Network team, responsible for the delivery of product expertise in the region. This role reports into the Middle East & Africa Network Head. This role is also expected to work with wider global Core Trade Network team, Core Trade pillars and functional partners in order to ensure pipeline management and growth with sales, ensure quality of trade product delivery with Operations and continued high level of client satisfaction.

What you’ll do:

This role have business responsibility for the Core Trade products in this respective cluster. This role is accountable for assisting in managing key stakeholders, helping to manage the cluster and regional strategy as part of overall global strategy, driving Core Trade revenues and growth, development of product plans and providing leadership for Core Trade product in the cluster. This role also is responsible for promotion of new and innovative products and corridors, increasing market share and maintaining the competitive position of Citi in the cluster thereby aligning overall business objectives.

As part of the Global Network Management the remit of this role also includes:

  • Drive simplification, global standards, local configuration;
  • Connect the network, corridors; and
  • Active Network management - Benchmark, Proprietary + 3rd party

What we’ll need from you:

  • Proven ability to cover a large complex geography / region                                                                                 
  • Corporate Finance experience relevant                                                  
  • Product knowledge – excellent knowledge of trade products, including structured trade products involving large/complex transactions.                                      
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
