IMG is an industry-leading global sports marketing agency, specializing in media rights management and sales, multi-channel content production and distribution, brand partnerships, digital services, and events management. We are looking for a Copywriter to play a pivotal role in shaping the agency’s brand voice and messaging. This person will be responsible for crafting engaging and strategic content across multiple platforms, including social media, website, email marketing (B2B), sales materials and executive thought leadership. Additionally, they will work closely with the corporate communications team to develop press releases and key messaging for public relations initiatives.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to work in the office 4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • As guardian of our brand tone of voice and written word you’ll lead and own the development of our core communications

  • Develop and write compelling content for the agency’s social media channels, ensuring consistency in brand tone and voice

  • Craft engaging and informative website copy that effectively communicates the agency’s services, values, and industry expertise

  • Create persuasive and targeted B2B email marketing content to nurture leads and build client relationships

  • Collaborate with executives to develop thought leadership content, including blog posts, opinion pieces, and LinkedIn articles

  • Work closely with the corporate communications team to draft key messaging for public relations campaigns

  • Research industry trends and insights to ensure content remains relevant, innovative, and impactful

  • Edit and proofread sales materials like RFP responses, sales decks and content to maintain high-quality standards across all communication channels

  • Develop industry event content like brochures and concept panel talk themes and content ideas

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the sports marketing landscape to craft industry-specific narratives that enhance brand authority.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in copywriting, content creation, or editorial roles, preferably within a marketing or agency environment

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in writing across various formats and platforms

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Ability to tailor messaging for different audiences, from social media to executive communications

  • Experience writing B2B content and understanding of digital marketing strategies

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital content optimization

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Passion for sports and an understanding of the sports marketing industry is a plus.

  • You’re a talented writer with a passion for crafting impactful content and storytelling

  • Proficient in Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite, Google AdWords, WordStream etc

  • A naturally creative mindset with a bias to innovative & strategic creative solutions and storytelling

  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders (often in different countries and time zones)

  • A strong team player that is flexible dependent on business demand

  • The ability to self-direct and motivate and work with minimal supervision

  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work calmly under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Working Conditions

  • This is a permanent role and will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate

  • You may be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings

  • Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule

  • Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
