Reporting to the Head of Brand Content, the Copy Editor will sit within the Creative Studio to support on the creation and quality control of a wide range of print and digital collateral. This role requires a proactive contributor looking for an opportunity to create impactful, user-centric content, working with teams across the business to enhance the readability, consistency and tone of their written copy.  


Please note this is a full-time, permanent role based in our Central London office. Following a hybrid work pattern, you are expected to be onsite 2-3 days per week on average.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and proofread content: review content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, and accuracy. Edit to ensure clarity and adherence to brand voice across a variety of mediums.

  • Maintain brand tone and style: ensure all written materials reflect the appropriate tone of voice and brand style guidelines. Provide feedback to writers to align content with brand identity.

  • Collaborate with writers and content creators: work closely with content writers, designers, and other creatives to refine copy and deliver polished, compelling materials.

  • Quality control: uphold the Brand Content team’s standards for quality and consistency in all deliverables.

  • Content development: occasionally contribute to writing projects, particularly where rewrites or substantial edits are necessary. Advise stakeholders on user-first best practice, information hierarchies, and message clarity as necessary.

  • Project management: manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years’ experience as a copy editor, proofreader, or similar role, preferably within an agency or in-house creative environment.

  • Editing skills: exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills, with a strong understanding of different writing styles and tones.

  • Attention to detail: meticulous approach to reviewing content, with an ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

  • Adaptability: ability to edit content across a wide range of topics and formats, including digital and print.

  • Communication: strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to writers and collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Project management: proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creativity: appreciation for creativity and an understanding of how compelling content can elevate a brand.
