Job Description

As part of the overall Talent Acquisition team at Checkout.com, the Strategic Hiring practice leads on the majority of hiring processes at Director, Senior Director, VP and C-suite levels - across all functions and many global locations. The Strategic Hiring team is currently looking to recruit a Coordinator who will help deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience; elevating our project delivery and process management, whilst also ensuring more scalability, data hygiene and consistency in one of the fastest-paced and most demanding areas of our global TA practice.

This team partners directly with many different stakeholders across our C-suite and VP communities, offering unique and transformative exposure to the inner-workings of a high-performing, growth stage, global tech business and having a material impact on projects and teams that will help continue Checkout.com’s trajectory towards becoming a generation-defining payments company.

We are looking for a Coordinator who will demonstrate initiative, operate with trust and discretion and will be comfortable balancing hands-on project and stakeholder management with effective prioritisation and strategic decision-making. The incoming Coordinator will also have scope and opportunity to directly support aspects of the Strategic Hiring process e.g. sourcing, candidate engagement and talent pipelining, rewarding this person’s curiosity and commitment to developing their career outside of day-to-day project management and delivery.

Role overview | Remit and Responsibilities

Amongst other duties, the incoming Coordinator, Strategic Hiring will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling and Coordination: Manage interview scheduling for candidates and interviewers, optimise cadence of hiring processes for internal and external stakeholders, coordinating candidate and business travel, and ensuring smooth experiences for in-person and remote interview processes

  • Candidate Experience: Act as a crucial point of contact and support for candidates throughout the interview process, ensuring a positive experience

  • Process Optimisation: Assist with interview logistics, such as preparing materials, collecting feedback from interviewers, updating candidate records and ensuring efficient and accurate assessment (e.g. by scheduling debriefs)

  • Program and Project Management: Identify and explore wider opportunities for maximising efficiency across the Strategic Hiring vertical, this may include (but not limited to) how we work with search firms, how we conduct proactive talent sourcing and pipeline management, how we partner with other TA teams etc.

  • Administrative Support: Handle administrative duties related to the hiring process including processing invoices and expenses, managing records and systems (e.g. our ATS)

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the recruiting team and hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process and partner closely with other EAs and coordinators

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the role will bring:

  • Prior experience in Executive Search or Leadership and Strategic Hiring is strongly preferred, whether from in-house or with agency/search firm

  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders and ensuring a high level of quality, experience and output in written and oral communication in demanding environments

  • Able to operate within ambiguity, make strategic decisions quickly and accurately, and operate with discretion at all times

  • Must be a fast learner, in spirit of our #BetterEveryDay Operating Principle, will be motivated by self-development and will see this role as a potential stepping stone to future career growth in leadership/strategic hiring roles

  • Will balance trade-offs between implementing more robust process, workflows, frameworks etc. to boost accountability and productivity, but still able to operate effectively when there is an absence of structure, process and data in place

  • Will be excited by the prospect of working in a lean, fast-paced team within the global TA function; will help build better practice and processes and lend functional support to other areas of the business

  • Humility, low-ego and an ideal ambassador for our mission, values and operating principles
