Join our dynamic UK Regulatory Finance team, a high-profile function providing critical financial information to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and the Bank of England. This is a service-oriented business comprised of specialized individuals with expertise in managing and delivering financial information to regulators. Play a pivotal role in building and managing operating models for new regulatory processes, supporting stakeholders in monitoring project status, identifying improvements, and driving the efficiency agenda.
As a Control Manager - Senior Associate in the UK Regulatory Finance team, you will design and manage operational models for regulatory reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure models meet organizational needs and adapt to changes. Your role is crucial in aligning with the overall governance of operating models and supporting the efficiency agenda.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design operational models for new regulatory reporting processes and refine existing models for efficiency.
- Own and escalate risks and issues promptly.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to project discipline and deadlines.
- Coordinate working group meetings, prepare materials, and document minutes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operating models meet organizational needs.
- Agree on SLAs with stakeholders for data attributes.
- Understand the regulatory framework to align with governance of operating models.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes on existing reporting.
- Support the regulatory system controller in running workflows and documenting system issues.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- Strong track record of driving and delivering results.
- Experience in program/project management and operating models.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships and think strategically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team-working skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Knowledge of Alteryx and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience in Basel/Regulatory Reporting/CRD4/CRD5/COREP.
