Contracts Manager

Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to support our global commercial and supply chain teams contracting needs. In this role, you will be a critical participant in the formalizing agreements with third parties, including drafting, negotiating and managing the internal contracting process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating manufacturing contracts, have a high business acumen and strong sense of accountability for closing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of contracts covering a range of transactions; manage contract repository. Own deadlines and drive the process to achieve required dates.
  • Approval Process: Coordinate subject matter expert reviews of contract documents and incorporate comments; manage the agreement approval process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of contracts.
  • Process Improvements: Design and implement process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
  • Monitoring: Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to what’s best for the company.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze internal processes and performance to identify key areas of opportunity and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in negotiating manufacturing contracts and managing supplier agreements.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree desired.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of legal concepts applicable to contracting, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and understanding of business risk.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing contracts and documentation.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex contract-related issues.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in designing and implementing process improvements within contract management.
