Job Description SummaryThe Contracts and Tenders Leader will be responsible for overseeing the entire contracting and tendering process, creating synergies across an international region by leading a team of specialists. This role requires strategic oversight, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to foster collaboration and efficiency within the team and across regions. This role will also lead the teams across the region ensuring system data and relevant governance of it are up to date.

Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesStrategic Contract and Tender Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies for the contracting and tendering process to support business growth and competitive advantage.

  • Oversee the identification, preparation, and (in-time) submission of tender proposals across the international region.

  • Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and deadlines, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Lead high-stakes contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions for the company.

  • Draft, review, and finalize complex contracts, ensuring alignment with legal and business standards.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government agencies, procurement officials, and internal teams.

Process Improvement and Compliance:

  • Continuously review and improve contracting and tendering processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure all contracting and tender activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of contracts and tenders specialists located in various markets.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company objectives.

  • Promote and facilitate the sharing of best practices and knowledge across different regions to create efficiencies and synergies.

  • Collaborate with regional teams to align strategies and ensure consistency in contracting and tendering processes.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract and tender-related inquiries, issues, and escalations.

  • Responsible for the implementation & consistent usage of the relevant Contract Lifecycle Management tools

  • Develop & maintain DMS (Daily Management System) to provide governance on the contracting process steps

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proven leadership and ability to orchestrate resources and motivate teams

  • Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain robust governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.

  • Expertise in leading change initiatives, driving process enhancements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Proven experience in applying LEAN principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency across various processes

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage digital tools and technologies to drive innovation, improve workflows, and support digital transformation initiatives.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
