The Contract Manager drafts, reviews, negotiates, and finalizes commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with internal standards. This role supports Sales, Product, and Legal teams and monitors the contracting process for efficiency.

The Role:
As a Deal Design Analyst, you will help to define and communicate our best practices in creating successful commercial business models, to maximize value for our clients and for Morningstar in collaboration with Product and our Business Development & Sales teams. The sales teams are responsible for helping our clients build their businesses and provide better outcomes for investors. You will be responsible for obtaining a deep understanding of our commercial strategies and sales philosophies and for working closely across teams to provide training and guidance on best practices generally and on deals specifically.
This position is based in our London office and four days a week in office is expected.
Job Responsibilities:
Define and refine efficient processes for successful deal creation, streamlining communication, minimizing timeframes through:• Partnering with Product Management to understand and proactively set commercial models that align with Morningstar's guiding principles for commercialization• Build cross-functional relationships across InfoSec, BC/DR, Legal, HR, Compliance, and Finance• Applying guidelines for pricing strategy which leverage principled negotiation approaches• Creating documentation and communication on an ongoing basis for training teams on guidelines, exemplary deals• Working closely with Business Development and Sales teams to understand our clients' interests and needs, and apply this knowledge to deals• Participate in planning to ensure alignment of our planning and the interests of our clients• Identify and recommend process improvements and contribute toward their execution by working collaboratively with multiple teams
Qualifications• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a function such as sales, marketing, customer success, sales operations, or product management• Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or other advanced degree a plus• Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and build relationships• Excellent time-management, communication, organizational, and analytical skills• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com• Skilled in pricing strategy, principled negotiation, and understanding of contract and deal design
