Contract Manager 

Salary: £58,000 plus company car / car allowance, bonus and Veolia benefits

Grade: 6.1

Location: Cambridge CB2 0AA

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create a safe, open and honest work environment that celebrates success and encourages creative thinking.

  • Prepare and manage realistic annual budgets, monitoring actual performance against plan.

  • Conduct monthly client service reviews, explaining invoices and environmental reports.

  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance and proactively manage risks across all operations.

  • Coordinate resources including procurement, recruitment, and equipment.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities for your contract and the wider Veolia business.

  • Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their culture and business drivers.

  • Implement sustainability strategies and circular economy solutions for clients.

  • Maintain open communication through team briefings, toolbox talks, and regular feedback.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven contract management experience in waste management or environmental services.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in P&L analysis.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

  • Client-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service.

  • Proactive approach to Health, Safety and Environmental management.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.

  • Experience in business development and identifying growth opportunities.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.

  • Genuine passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
