In this client-facing role, you will lead the design and implementation of robust data governance frameworks and MDM strategies that enable trusted, high-quality data across enterprise systems. You’ll work closely with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data is well-defined, well-managed, and fit for purpose.

This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, shaping governance policies, and driving cultural change around data literacy and stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governance Strategy & Consulting: Partner with client stakeholders to define data governance strategies aligned to business goals, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
  • MDM Implementation: Design and implement MDM solutions to ensure consistent, accurate, and authoritative data across domains (e.g., customer, product, supplier).
  • Policy & Framework Development: Develop data policies, standards, and stewardship models that promote accountability and transparency in data usage.
  • Metadata & Lineage Management: Establish metadata management practices and data lineage tracking to support auditability and trust.
  • Data Quality & Profiling: Define and monitor data quality metrics, lead remediation efforts, and embed quality controls into data pipelines.
  • Tooling & Enablement: Evaluate and deploy governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend) and support integration with cloud-native platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and communications to promote data literacy and governance adoption.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure governance frameworks support compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship: Contribute to internal best practices, mentor junior colleagues, and support thought leadership in data governance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or MDM consulting roles.
  • Strong understanding of MDM principles, architectures, and implementation patterns.
  • Experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Talend.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern data stacks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a consultative approach.
  • Comfortable working in agile, client-facing environments with autonomy and ownership.
Desirable:
  • Certifications in data governance, MDM, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with data cataloging, lineage, and metadata management.
  • Background in data quality frameworks and profiling tools.
  • Exposure to data mesh, data fabric, or federated governance models.

Benefits
  • Remote-first working with flexibility around client needs
  •  Projects with global brands & public sector leaders, working on real-world impact
  •  Exclusive access to AWS & Databricks certifications, training, and partner tools
  •  A collaborative culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
