Description

We are looking for an experienced Commerce Tech Lead to support the definition, planning, and rollout of scalable eCommerce capabilities across international markets, with an immediate focus on Germany & the US, to start ASAP for a duration of three months. Based in a commutable distance to Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document the current eCommerce landscape, including scale and complexity across:
    • Customer journeys and transactions
    • Revenue streams and SKU catalogue
    • Integrations (ERP, payments, tax, fulfilment, returns, discounting)
  • Define lightweight eCommerce requirements for the US market
  • Identify and document the capabilities required to replicate and enhance the existing German (DE) eCommerce experience
  • Define, prioritise, and validate future platform requirements and use cases
  • Support the eCommerce platform RFP (Request for Proposal) and vendor selection process
  • Develop a comprehensive delivery plan covering capabilities, use cases, and roadmap
  • Produce detailed delivery estimates for both DE and US eCommerce implementations
  • Data architecture and end-to-end process flow documentation
  • Support throughout the RFP and platform selection process
  • End-to-end delivery plan, including capability rollout and key milestones

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in eCommerce strategy, platform delivery, or digital transformation
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end eCommerce ecosystems (ERP, payments, tax, fulfilment, returns)
  • Experience working across international markets, ideally DE and/or US
  • Demonstrated experience supporting RFP processes and vendor selection
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical and operational requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
