Team Mission 🚀

We’re looking for a Content Marketer to lead OakNorth’s organic content strategy across Lending, Business Banking and Personal Savings.

This is a growth-oriented content role, suited to someone who combines strong editorial judgement with a commercial mindset. You will create high-quality, search-led and insight-driven content that attracts, educates and converts customers over time.

You’ll be responsible not just for writing, but for shaping how content drives measurable organic growth. That includes developing evergreen assets, thought leadership, conversion-led guides and flagship pieces designed to build authority and generate demand across the funnel.

You’ll work closely with Product Marketing, Growth, Product and Commercial teams to turn complex financial topics into clear, compelling narratives that attract new customers and deepen understanding of OakNorth’s propositions.

What you'll do:

  • Own and evolve OakNorth’s organic content strategy across Lending, Business Banking and Personal Savings
  • Create high-quality editorial content across Lending, Business Banking and Personal Savings
  • Write engaging long-form pieces such as articles, blogs, guides, explainers, reports and lead magnets
  • Develop thought leadership content that positions OakNorth as an expert across lending, business banking and personal savings
  • Translate complex financial products, customer problems and market trends into clear, accessible stories
  • Identify high-impact content opportunities using SEO insights, customer research, commercial priorities and AI-assisted analysis of search intent and content gaps
  • Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, generate structured first drafts, refine clarity, and optimise existing content while maintaining strong editorial oversight and regulatory accuracy
  • Continuously test and improve content performance using data, AI-supported optimisation techniques and structured experimentation
  • Work with cross-product subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate, insightful and customer-focused
  • Identify content opportunities based on customer questions, market trends and commercial priorities
  • Plan and contribute to editorial themes and content calendars
  • Edit, refine and elevate content to maintain clarity, consistency and quality across channels
  • Maintain and help evolve OakNorth’s tone of voice across customer-facing content

What success looks like:

  • More customers discovering OakNorth through high-quality, engaging content, ultimately driving growth
  • Customers having a clearer understanding of what OakNorth does and how our products help them
  • Strong engagement with content, measured through readership, time spent, downloads and return visits
  • OakNorth being recognised as a trusted voice across lending, business banking and personal savings
  • A consistent pipeline of thoughtful, relevant content that supports growth and brand credibility
  • Strong collaboration with Product Marketing, Growth and Commercial teams to ensure content supports wider business goals

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a content writer, journalist or editorial lead, ideally covering complex or technical topics
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage and educate different audiences
  • Experience creating long-form content, thought leadership or editorial pieces rather than short-form ad copy
  • Ability to simplify complex subjects while maintaining accuracy and credibility
  • A curious mindset and confidence interviewing stakeholders or subject matter experts
  • Clear, structured thinking and strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple pieces of content across different products and themes
  • Experience in fintech, financial services or B2B is a plus, but not essential

Why join OakNorth:
