The role:
The Content Writer and Social Media Executive will form a key part of our Marketing team, to develop engaging digital content across our business divisions, creating on- and offline marketing materials.
Conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication, you will deliver quality written content and stories that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.
Main Job Responsibilities: 
 
  • Create clear and engaging written content for our websites, press-releases, brochures, presentations, social media posts, blog posts, scripts for videos, product descriptions and marketing driven projects
  • Manage social media channels and increase engagement through social posting and ensuring engagement across our social media channels - LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, etc
  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
  • Proofread and edit content before publication, conducting keyword research and applying SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Write succinct, accurate and engaging product descriptions, adhering to SEO best practice guidelines, working closely with the wider team to launch new products  
  • Work closely with Product Managers and our Marketing Team to produce copy and develop engaging content around the launch of various products – this could involve packaging, press releases, promotional material, social media posts, content for e-commerce platforms, case studies, interviews and more.  
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content to recommend new topics
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
  • Work with the wider team to develop and report on marketing communications and content strategy   
  • Evolve tone of voice guidelines with consideration for brand values as well as digital best practice 
  • Demonstrate a positive and pro-active approach, showing initiative and suggesting ideas for new content and the continual improvement of quality and efficiency  
  • Provide input into the direction of content strategy, what the content should look like and where it may be published for maximum impact
  
Required Skills:  
 
  • A relevant degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or similar, supported by at least 5 years’ experience of producing written content for marketing purposes, ideally gained within a product-driven or technical environment
  • This role will suit a natural storyteller who is passionate about writing and highly creative, with a desire to bring innovate and provide solutions to customer problems by writing accurate and adaptable content for specific audiences  
  • Outstanding English literacy with a high command of written English is a must
  • Technical ability to understand and write content using impeccable grammar/tone. An interest in technology will be very useful to understand features and applications for technical products
  • Experience of content writing for digital purposes, with an understanding of SEO and optimisation tools 
  • Commercial awareness – A deep understanding of consumer behaviours and technical products   
  • An innate team player, with the ability to work within a fast-paced, results driven environment    
  • Organisation and planning - Confident in their ability to plan and execute effectively, while delivering results with accuracy and attention to detail
