Lightspeed is looking for a results-driven, strategic Content writer (Dutch and French) to be the voice of Lightspeed for the retail industry in the UK and the Benelux region.  As a key member of Lightspeed’s dynamic in-house marketing team, you’ll deliver content for a range of projects on multiple channels. You’ll be the go-to expert on Lightspeed’s suite of software solutions for retailers, supporting the retail marketing team with campaign ideation and execution, editorial planning and additional initiatives that expand our reach into new and existing markets. Your work will have a direct impact on positioning Lightspeed as the leading commerce platform for retailers. 

You’ll be responsible for: 

  • Delivering highly polished, creative and impactful copy that supports the go-to-market strategy, multichannel marketing activations and product launches. 
  • Managing and executing the content calendar for your specific region and industry (blogs, social media, webinars, customer stories, bylines, etc.) to support marketing and PR needs
  • Localising material from Dutch, French, English and vice versa
  • Developing a good knowledge of our key products, customers and businesses, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Writing and managing content on our website, ensuring it follows style guidelines and making recommendations for improvements
  • Optimising content performance with guidance from acquisitions and marketing leads
  • Staying up to date on retail industry news and trends

You’ll bring to the team:

  • 1-3 years of experience in SAAS marketing, copywriting or journalism
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, from sales to product to support
  • Ability to take complex concepts and explain them simply and briefly
  • Outstanding Dutch and English writing skills and incredible attention to detail 
  • Ability to poke holes in copy—including your own—and iterate quickly
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Familiarity with content management systems like Wordpress
  • A passion for retail or a willingness to learn more 

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Experience in the retail industry 
  • SEO knowledge
