Job Description:

As a Content Project Manager at Pluralsight, you'll support the execution of content projects from author assignment through to publication. Working closely with Senior Content Project Managers, you'll manage a defined portfolio of contracted authors and their content, keeping projects on track and serving as a key point of contact for authors and internal stakeholders. This role is built on building relationships and developing your ability to lead through influence — learning how to drive accountability and deliver results with people you don't directly manage.

Who you're committed to being:

  • A Relationship Builder: You treat authors as the experts they are. You invest in understanding how they work and what they need to do their best work. You build trust deliberately because you know the relationship is what makes the content possible.
  • A Communicator Who Gets Ahead of Problems: You don't wait to be asked for an update. You keep your manager and stakeholders informed, flag issues early and follow through on what you say you'll do.
  • A Detail-Oriented Operator: You keep your project tracking accurate and up to date because you understand that clean data is how the team makes better decisions and spots problems before they become crises.
  • A Learner: You ask good questions, absorb feedback quickly and apply it. You're building toward owning more and you treat every project as an opportunity to develop your judgment.

What You'll Own:

Author Relationships

  • Manage a portfolio of authors, serving as a primary point of contact
  • Support author onboarding and commission kickoffs, ensuring authors have what they need to get started
  • Maintain regular check-ins with authors to track progress and flag concerns early
  • Help build author capability over time by documenting patterns in their work and surfacing observations to leadership

Project management & production oversight

  • Track all assigned projects through every stage of the content lifecycle, keeping records accurate at all times
  • Monitor submission cadence and flag deviations from expected timelines
  • Support final publication checks on assigned content before anything goes live
  • Run with post-project retrospectives and document lessons learned
  • Use data to track project health and flag anomalies

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for authors and internal teams on assigned projects
  • Collaborate with Production and Curriculum teams to ensure smooth progression through review stages
  • Escalate competing priorities or risks to the leadership with a clear summary of the situation and a recommended path forward

Experience You'll Need

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination, content operations, editorial production or a closely related field
  • Has independently tracked 40+ concurrent projects without a senior PM overseeing day-to-day execution
  • Demonstrated a consistent pattern of surfacing risks and flagging issues before being asked — not just responding when problems escalate
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and making reasonable judgment calls within defined parameters
  • Proficiency in Asana and Google Suite or similar tools; picks up new systems quickly
  • Proven ability to follow process, learn from scenarios and teammates and own your outcomes
  • Demonstrated history of culture alignment by being a team player, working together to solve problems and collaborate with your peers
  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in edtech, online learning or content production environments
  • Familiarity with instructional design or technical content (IT, software development, cloud, data, AI, security)
  • Experience coordinating with external contractors or freelancers
  • Exposure to Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
Why you’ll love working here:
  • We work in a blended environment that supports collaboration, flexibility, and connection across teams.
  • We are mission-driven, shaping the future of tech upskillling and delivering impact that matters.
  • We foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, where everyone can contribute and thrive.
  • We are always learning, creating an environment where you can take on new challenges, expand your skills, and grow with purpose.
  • Benefits include competitive compensation, bonus eligibility, comprehensive medical coverage, unlimited PTO, wellness reimbursement, professional development funds, and more.
