About the Role & Team

 

The DTC UK Content Marketing team are responsible for the development and roll-out of marketing campaigns for Global & Local General Entertainment content for Disney+ in the UK. The focus, and measurement of success, is to drive awareness of our content to new & existing customers, engage our existing customers and drive acquisition of Disney+. This individual will work closely with the rest of the UK&I marketing team who looks after local marketing strategy, brand and content campaigns in the UK and Ireland. They will be required to co-ordinate planning, develop integrated plans and build excellent relationships with peers across Disney+ (including EMEA content marketing, PR, social, influencer, performance, partnerships, analytics & consumer research and internal creative). They will also be required to communicate and work closely with stakeholders externally including media agency, media partners, and experiential, event & creative agencies.


Reporting to the UK Senior Content Marketing Manager, this role will be instrumental in leading the development of insight driven marketing strategies, owning large parts of the delivery of best-in-class campaigns for Global General Entertainment and Local Originals in the UK. 


This is a fixed-term contract expected to run until approximately ending July 1st. The role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do

 

  • Deliver industry-leading, insight-driven, innovative, differentiated & effective content marketing campaigns, with a focus on paid media, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget. 
  • Lead end to end campaign planning process for their titles, updating key strategic documents, driving internal and external briefings, implementation and post-campaign reporting & analysis, ensuring learnings and recommendations flow into future activity. 
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with the media agency, to ensure continued innovative and effective campaigns. 
  • Alongside Senior Content Marketing Manager, presenting local marketing plans to senior stakeholders (Director & VP level) on a regular basis.  
  • Tracking purchase orders, managing vendors, and other finance admin related duties.  
  • Work closely with EMEA content marketing team, PR, social, influencer, performance, partnership and customer retention teams and peers across Disney+ to drive collaboration and ensure alignment across key campaigns. 
  • Oversee and manage an annual media partnership through planning, execution and regular analysis with clear data-led recommendation to inform future activity. 
  • Mentor the Content Marketing Intern. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Proven marketing experience, working on brand / content marketing within the entertainment industry 
  • Strong knowledge of paid media channels – both online & offline  
  • Experience working with media agency essential including writing briefs, managing media plans, budgeting and providing clear feedback 
  • Experience working within, or strong passion for, the entertainment industry (TV, SVOD or Theatrical) 
  • Experience working with creative & experiential agencies on entertainment content would be ideal. 
  • Highly organised with excellent ability to prioritise, manage time and balance multiple projects or campaigns at one time 
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to production partners, commissioners and senior internal stakeholders 
  • High level of attention to detail, with a creative eye  
  • Strong strategic marketing capabilities with the ability to read and use data to tell a story 
  • Passionate about entertainment  
  • Strong team player but with ability to also work autonomously and show initiative 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
