Job Description:
About the role
We’re looking for a proactive, curious and creatively minded Content Manager to join dentsu’s in-house Marketing & Communications UK team. You’ll help us create content that strengthens dentsu’s market presence and supports thought leadership, campaigns, events and storytelling for senior clients and prospects.
Reporting into the Content Director, you’ll work across a wide range of projects: drafting content, supporting research activation, collaborating with subject matter experts, and helping us develop new formats and ideas. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your own projects and build confidence as an editorial lead.
This role is ideal for someone who has solid content experience, is hungry to grow, and wants to develop into a more strategic content practitioner within a collaborative marketing and communications team.
Key Responsibilities
Content creation & development
- Contribute to content plans that support dentsu’s UK brand and our strategic solutions.
- Write and edit a range of content including blogs, articles, case studies, reports, award entries, scripts, newsletters, and social posts.
- Help turn complex ideas into clear, accessible messages for marketing and brand audiences.
- Bring creativity and variety to content formats (e.g. infographics, short videos), with support from design and senior team members.
Thought leadership & research activation
- Work with internal experts to translate insights from dentsu-led research into engaging written stories.
- Support the development of flagship publications: drafting sections, shaping early ideas, and coordinating feedback and approvals.
- Help identify topical angles and opportunities for timely content aligned to industry discussions.
Integrated campaign support
- Partner with colleagues across PR, social, events and design to create content for multi-channel campaigns.
- Support content workstreams to ensure alignment, quality and timely delivery.
Editorial quality & optimisation
- Help maintain strong editorial standards, ensuring content is accurate, well-structured, clear and on-brand.
- Apply SEO and channel best practice to improve visibility and engagement.
- Contribute to content playbooks, templates and processes as you grow into the role.
Project coordination
- Manage your own content tasks and projects, from briefing and drafting to stakeholder coordination and delivery.
- Build strong working relationships across the business, gaining confidence to engage with senior stakeholders over time.
Learning, measurement & improvement
- Use performance insights and feedback to refine content and identify opportunities to improve.
- Bring fresh ideas, formats and approaches to help evolve the team’s content strategy.
About You
- Around 3+ years’ experience in a content, editorial, copywriting or marketing role (agency or in-house).
- Strong writing skills with an ability to craft clear, engaging content across formats.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines with support.
- An interest in marketing, media, creative, data or technology, and a willingness to learn more.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
- Some familiarity with SEO and digital content performance.
- Experience creating copy/scripts to support multimedia or visual content (e.g. infographics, video scripts).
What you’ll bring to the team
We are looking for someone who is:
- A self-starter who’s ready to take on responsibility at the right pace.
- Curious and creative, keen to explore new angles and formats.
- Editorially thoughtful, caring about quality and clarity.
- Eager to develop, open to coaching and hungry to grow into more strategic content work.
- Organised and reliable, able to keep projects moving with support.
- A collaborative team player who builds trusted relationships across the organisation.
