About the Role & Team

  • This role will support the delivery of audio-visual material, scripts, metadata and artwork for acquired titles for linear FNG channels and subsequent exploitation on Disney+. 

  • This will involve close communication with various distributors, especially where Disney is rejecting materials which they do not match Disney specs. 

This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

Areas of Responsibility 

Key elements and required results of the role 

  • Track material delivery for acquired titles from 3rd party distributors for linear channels and for Disney+ into The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) London. This material will cover a mixture of the below in both English and other languages: 

  • Video 

  • Audio 

  • Audio Description 

  • Subtitles 

  • Descriptive Metadata 

  • Artwork 

  • Handle QC rejections and remediation process directly with these distributors. 

  • Update internal colleagues with regular status reports on the progress of deliveries as well as flagging up any issues or blockers in a timely manner. 

  • Track metrics for the on time deliveries and right the first time deliveries.  

  • Work effectively with departmental colleagues and cross-functionally with other members of EMEA Content Operations. 

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties. 

  • Areas of Accountability (Strategic Impact, Financial, Management, Relationships) 

Who is the individual accountable to, what are they accountable for and what if any budget responsibility do they have 

  • Accountable to both the Content Manager – Acquisitions 

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required 

Experience, Qualifications and People Management experience 

Required: 

  • This is primarily an operational role but the candidate will be expected to understand technical specs across different types of media  

  • Extensive experience with applications such as Microsoft Office, Google sheets, Smartsheet 

  • Experience in asset management databases.  

  • Excellent project management skills and experience essential. 

 

Desirable: 

  • Understanding of localization and mastering processes. 

  • Experience of file-based and HD technology, new media and electronic file delivery.  

  • Experience with different sound and video formats/components. 

  • Understanding of QC processes for Audio Visual files.
