Our vision is to give everyone the belief they can make their move. We aim to make moving simpler, by giving everyone the best place to turn to and return to for access to the tools, expertise, trust, and belief to make it happen.

We’re home to the UK’s largest choice of properties and are the go-to destination for millions of people planning their next move, reading the latest industry news, or just browsing what’s on the market.

The role

As a member of the Experience Design team, you'll collaborate closely with user research and partner with product design to support Rightmove's home hunters and homeowners. You'll join a small, centralised content design team, which partners with product teams within the consumer domain. You'll contribute from discovery to delivery on prioritised projects, scaling resources and running drop-in clinics to support lighter-touch work.

Reporting to the Content Design Manager, you'll be based in our Soho, London office 2 days a week.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with cross-functional product teams to create clear, scalable content, which minimises friction and future inbound.
  • Using evidence and feedback to shape UX decisions and challenge assumptions in a constructive way.
  • Partnering with user research and product design
to map user journeys and understand how people interact across touchpoints.
  • Structuring content and defining how information connects so designs are easier for people to understand and navigate.
  • Supporting the integration of content within our design system.
  • Applying our tone of voice and brand platform to create consistent, coherent experiences.
  • Developing a strong understanding of our industry, our audiences, and the wider market.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Has a passion for user experience and
making the process of renting, buying, selling, and moving easier.
  • Thinks analytically about user journeys and how content shapes behaviour.
  • Enjoys being a proactive, hands-on contributor and collaborative team player.
  • Brings a content design lens to any stage of the process: from user research, information architecture, user interface design, and embedding content strategically.
  • Manages their time comfortably to deliver on multiple defined problem spaces
    in a fast-moving, agile environment.
  • Balances the needs of multiple stakeholders to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines.
  • Communicates their decisions clearly and can talk through their logic.
  • Understands user behaviour and business success through qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Experiments with language using user research tools to test and learn.
  • Proactively hunts out opportunities to impact
    a defined problem area.
  • Finds new and innovative ways to use generative AI to think, plan, and design faster and better.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Proven experience designing content within product development teams and leveraging audience-specific terminology with just enough brand personality across a user journey or task.
  • Workshopping skills which help teams align and make progress.
  • A commitment to accessibility and inclusive design.
  • Experience in marketplace
products, content governance tools like Ditto,
and agentic AI is an advantage.

What you need to know about the London Tech Scene

London isn't just a hub for established businesses; it's also a nursery for innovation. Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
