About us:

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VC&A) drives tangible and impactful results for Visa’s network clients, including (but not limited to) financial service providers, merchants, and fintech companies. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations, and macroeconomics, VC&A solves both tactical and strategic problems for our clients.

Commercial Payments and Visa Direct are strategic growth areas for both the Visa and VC&A businesses. Commercial banks are evolving their payment propositions to incorporate emerging technologies such as virtual payment credentials, open banking, and machine learning. Visa Direct is shifting the way that the future of payments is evolving for consumers and businesses through innovative card, wallet, and account-based payment use cases including cross-border payments.

Our team exists at the nexus of these exciting businesses. It has two primary functions: (1) We provide strategic consulting support to clients in the Commercial and Visa Direct topic areas across Europe, and (2) we help evolve the capabilities of our consulting teams through delivering training and thought leadership.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a consultant to play a key role delivering high impact projects for Visa’s clients in the Europe region. This role will primarily support in the implementation of consulting engagements but will also support initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth for the Commercial & Visa Direct practice area across the Europe region.

Typical projects may include:

  • How does an issuer expand or increase market share in the commercial market?
  • How should a credit card issuer use emerging technology to acquire the best customers?
  • What are the use cases for Visa Direct, and how should the client implement it?

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Contribute to a dynamic and high-performing team delivering consulting initiatives in your region and across Europe.
  • Develop insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the verticals and segments.
  • Support initiatives in partnership with our VC&A colleagues to develop new business opportunities related to Commercial & Visa Direct.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications


What we’re after:
•Somone with one of the following experiences: (1) management consulting with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies, (2) product delivery with demonstrable expertise in banking or general payments.
•Strong analytical skills, can solve complex business problems through data-driven methodologies.
•Strong communication and presentation skills, can distil complex ideas to convey a clear message to stakeholders.
•Good business acumen, experience working with business indicators to measure performance with a focus on impacting ROI.
•Curious, up to date with current digital trends and ability to understand implications for our clients’ business.
•Proactive, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
•Honest, high integrity applied in the work environment.
•Willingness to travel where required.
•Willingness to maintain professional development.
Preferred but not essential:
•Prior experience in commercial banking or digital payments would be a plus.
•Ability and proficiency in some leading edge analytic and business intelligence tools would be beneficial.
•European language skills other than English would be a plus.
