We are looking for Consultants with experience of working on technology policy issues to support the delivery of client work and business development in our fast-growing Asia-Pacific team based in our Singapore office.

Our consultant team is at the heart of all we do at Flint. You will work closely with team members to support clients on public policy, politics, regulation, and commercial strategy. Flint’s clients want to understand how they can build a long-term strategy to thrive commercially in a changing and increasingly uncertain policy environment.

Flint wants to be the best place for individuals aspiring to build a career in technology and public policy in APAC. This role offers three specific benefits:

  • Work on important and high-profile issues - Unparalleled exposure to cutting-edge issues such as AI regulation, governments’ pursuit of sovereign AI capabilities, and how policymakers balance promoting AI adoption with managing the environmental impacts.
  • Direct client exposure at leading companies - Working directly with senior clients at some of the world’s largest technology companies as they seek to grapple with these issues.
  • Individual recognition as a key part of a small but growing team – The opportunity to have your aspirations and achievements as an individual recognised in a way that would not be possible at a larger organisation, at the same time as having the chance to play your part in driving the rapid growth of Flint’s business in APAC.

Flint provides an excellent professional and educational environment for people to accelerate their personal and career development. There will be space to engage in discussion and debates on substantive policy and political challenges, as well as significant scope for progression through the company.

Working in Singapore, you will join a rapidly growing team, with the opportunity to take ownership of tasks and contribute to the company’s growth in the region.

We welcome any candidates with experience working for government institutions or regulators and candidates from commercial backgrounds, including major consulting houses or in-house policy roles, with a keen interest in politics, policy and regulation. For Consultant level roles, we are looking for candidates with c.1-4 years’ work experience.

You will have:

  • A strong understanding of APAC technology policy, including key policy and regulatory trends and what is driving these trends in different countries.

  • Written communication skills, with proven ability to draft clear documents for internal and external audiences with varying degrees of expert knowledge.
  • Oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues to non-specialists.
