About Solar & Wind Europe (SWE)

Solar & Wind Europe (SWE) is the European edition of Infocast’s, a Clarion events company, highly successful Solar + Wind Finance & Investment Summit, USA - the leading US event for renewable energy deal-making and investment. 

Launching in Europe, SWE will bring together the continent’s most influential investors, developers, lenders, utilities, policymakers, and technology innovators to drive collaboration and unlock the next wave of solar and wind energy growth.

Building on the US event’s reputation as “where business gets done”, SWE will serve as the premier European platform for clean-energy finance and investment, offering deep insight into evolving market dynamics, financing structures, policy frameworks, and risk strategies shaping the energy transition.

Through high-level discussions, in-depth case studies, and curated networking opportunities, SWE will connect capital with opportunity, accelerating Europe’s journey toward energy independence, resilience, and net-zero.

This role will be a 12 Month FTC and may be extended into a permanent role.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the team and P&L performance for SWE.
  • Lead the team in achieving financial and non-financial KPIs and objectives.
  • Overall responsibility for the summit delivery, bringing together all functions (marketing, customer success, sales, content and operations), ensuring a solid path to a successful event.
  • Producing regular financial forecasts for the Summit.
  • Delivers on and upholds the value proposition and business plan for Solar+Wind Europe.
  • Summit, through a mixture of quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, together with the content team.
  • Utilises customer insights to improve sponsor, exhibitor and delegate experience.
  • Understands key segments and drivers to reflect them into the direction of the business.
  • Working with the team to support the implementation of the commercial strategy.
  • Maintain  strong  relationships  with  SWE’s  key  internal  and  external  stakeholders,  building relationships  with  existing  and  potential  customers  who  are  strategically  important  for  the brand.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Proven experience in a similar role managing a conference, summit or content-led exhibition.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the renewable energy market or finance and investment.
  • Proven experience in P&L ownership, including forecasting, budgeting and delivering against commercial targets.
  • Experience in managing and developing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing and building customer relationships.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, through continuous development, modelling inclusive behaviours and proactively managing bias.
  • Curious, humble and a burning desire to improve.
  • Customer centric and feedback obsessed.
