As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing risk at GetGround.
Reporting to our Director of Compliance & Risk, you will be a key business partner, supporting sustainable growth whilst ensuring the business continues to meet its regulatory obligations.
What you will do
- Act as a key point of escalation for the Sales and Onboarding teams, with knowledge over investigations, source of funds/source of wealth, KYC and KYB.
- Manage day-to-day operations of our compliance program, including due diligence procedures, transaction monitoring and audits.
- A business partner to the Sales team - helping to educate and foster a culture of compliance with policies, process and training.
- A point of escalation for customer complaints - capable of investigating and identifying root causes and communicating clearly and professionally with customers.
Essential requirements:
- 2+ years in a compliance related role with knowledge of relevant regulations, systems and processes (AML, fraud, Consumer Duty, GDPR etc.).
- A deep passion for operational excellence, policies, processes.
- Have a strong ‘moral compass’ and integrity, even in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and risk-based mindset - you think deeply about mitigating risk and not ticking boxes.
- Exceptional attention to detail but able to see the wood for the trees.
Nice to haves:
- Experience working in an FCA regulated and/or FinTech compliance role.
- Experience in investigating and dealing with customer complaints.
