We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Compliance Operations Associate  to support our compliance and product operations across the UK and EU markets. This role plays a key part in maintaining regulatory documentation, coordinating product license applications, managing environmental reporting, and supporting various compliance-related operational tasks. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external regulatory bodies to ensure our products and packaging meet all relevant obligations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update compliance procedure handbooks for different product categories, based on evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and manage packaging and environmental compliance obligations (e.g. plastic tax, Extended Producer Responsibility, CBAM, EUDR) across the UK and EU.

  • Calculate customs clearance and import-related fees, ensuring fair and accurate allocation at SKU level.

  • Support license and permit applications across product categories (e.g. food, electronics, cosmetics, etc.).

  • Coordinate tasks related to deposit return schemes (e.g. bottle deposit systems) and similar national recycling regulations.

  • Liaise with internal departments and regulatory agencies where necessary to support audits or documentation requests.


Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Supply Chain or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in compliance operations, regulatory support, or supply chain projects, ideally within retail or e-commerce.

  • Familiarity with local regulatory bodies and environmental obligations in the UK and EU.

  • Comfortable with regulatory research, documentation management, and reporting tasks.

  • Experience using Excel (intermediate level), and ideally Power BI or project tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello).

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong logical reasoning.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese is an asset, but not required.
