About us

At Zego, we understand that traditional motor insurance holds good drivers back. It's too complicated, too expensive, and it doesn't reflect how well you actually drive. Since 2016, we have been on a mission to change that by offering the lowest priced insurance for good drivers.
From van drivers and gig workers to everyday car drivers, our customers are the driving force behind everything we do. We've sold tens of millions of policies and raised over $200 million in funding and picked up numerous awards, including the Employer of The Year 2025 as awarded at The Insurance Post's Awards. And we’re only just getting started.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Compliance Manager to ensure Zego continues to meet (and exceed!) FCA standards as we scale rapidly. In this role, you’ll take ownership of strengthening our compliance frameworks, guiding the business through regulatory requirements, and enabling safe, sustainable growth.

What you'll be working on
  • You will manage the company’s Compliance Monitoring Programme, including Financial Promotions, Sources of Business, SMCR, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk.
  • You will be responsible for the creation of reports for various internal and external audiences, including the various senior leadership, the company board and our carrier partners.
  • You will conduct proactive research to stay up to date with all applicable regulations and rules.
  • You will be an all-round compliance advisor to assist in the company’s ambitious growth plans.
  • You will work with business units to identify, assess and prioritise threats, opportunities and issues and support business units as they consider core business risks.
  • You will support the Product Managers to design and implement best-in-class products that deliver good outcomes for our customers.
What you’ll need to be successful
  • Strong background in a compliance role within the insurance industry, ideally motor insurance.
  • Deep understanding of FCA regulatory environment.
  • Have interest in technology and automation, especially AI tools.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong awareness and understanding of Consumer Duty regulations in the UK.
  • You will have a high degree of organisation and an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • You will be someone who exhibits sound business judgement, proven ability to influence others, and a track record of taking ownership, leading compliance analysis, and influencing results.
