The I-9 Administrator is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal employment eligibility verification requirements. This role manages the completion, accuracy, and retention of Form I-9 documentation for all US Employees, and works closely with HR, recruiters, and hiring managers to maintain compliance with U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations.

The base salary range for this position is $73,900 to $101,640; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the completion of I-9s Forms for all new hires and reverification of existing employees.
- Audit I-9 forms for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal guidelines.
- Maintain electronic and/or physical I-9 records according to retention and destruction requirements.
- Serve as the primary administrator for the company's I-9 Electronic System with E-Verify, including case creation, monitoring, and resolution.
- Provide training and guidance to HR staff, recruiters, and hiring managers on I-9 compliance and proper documentation procedures.
- Stay up to date on immigration and employment eligibility laws and communicate relevant updates to HR leadership.
- Assist in responding to government audits, inspections, or requests for I-9 documentation.
- Develop and implement processes to minimize compliance risk.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding of new hires.
- In the future may support People Experience Project Work.
Skills:
- Proficiency in HRIS/Workday and onboarding platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under strict regulatory timelines.
- Proficiency in Excel for Data Analysis & Manipulation (VLook Ups, Pivot Tables for Data Validation etc.)
What you will bring
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of HR, compliance, or onboarding experience, with specific knowledge of I-9 regulations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal immigration and employment eligibility requirements.
- Experience with E-Verify and electronic I-9 systems (such as Workday, ADP, or other platforms).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Hybrid - 3 days a week in the East Hanover, NJ office (typically Tuesday - Thursday).
- 15% business travel as needed.
