Details of the Division and Team:

The Compliance Officer role provides support to the business advisory team in their engagement with relevant business and/or infrastructure areas. He/she also supports the team in his/her provision of level 1 control advice and in their assistance with conducting level 2 controls and risk assessment for these areas.

Your key responsibilities:

1. As a Compliance Officer, the Associate will assist Head of Compliance on the following:

  • All compliance issues in relation to Deutsche Bank’s Vietnam activities, via among others, in developing internal compliance policies, and facilitating or assist relevant stakeholders in adhering to regulatory and/or the Group’s requirement through advisory work, monitoring or training sessions.

  • To implement Compliance Control Framework (CCF) related tasks.

  • Review the Vendor Risk Management process where appropriate.

  • To perform desk or ad-hoc review when required.

  • To keep abreast of new products, as well as their implications for respective business areas, via the NPA review and approval process.

  • Advising on the preparation of documentation for regulatory updates, developments and other regulatory matters

2. As assistant to Anti Money Laundering Officer, the Associate will assist Head of Compliance who is also in charge of Country Anti Money Laundering Officer on the following:

  • The implementation of adequate monitoring – research /surveillance tool.

  • Decide on new or existing clients that are escalated, or decide to escalate further.

  • Review hits escalated in the process of transaction screening and transaction monitoring.

3. Assisting the Head of Compliance in terms of data protection related matters the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in accordance to DB Group Data Policy and relevant local data protection legislation.

4. Handle other duties and/or projects as assigned by Head of Compliance from time to time.

Your skills and experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in banking, legal and compliance areas of international banks or law firms

  • Strong written and spoken English

  • Computer literacy

  • Strong influencing and communications skills 

  • University graduate (preference for Law or Banking/Finance/Economics degree)

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
