About the Role:
The Compensation Manager for Growth & Emerging Markets role is accountable for compensation market data and analysis across all elements of pay in 37 emerging market countries supporting ~5,800 employees. Acts as lead compensation contact for Local HR across emerging market countries for all HR questions and matters pertaining to market practices, policies, and market data, connecting to the Compensation Partnering group on business unit/function specific compensation matters.
How you will contribute:
- Accountable for Growth and Emerging Markets Region ("GEM"), which consists of 37 countries across Asia Pacific (excluding Japan and China BU), Latin America, and the Middle East, across all elements of pay, including base pay, period salary pay, allowances, STIP, and LTIP.
- Manages annual salary survey participation for the region including ad hoc spot surveys, regional survey meeting involvement, and ongoing salary budget surveys. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of pay practices across the region.
- Conducts data analysis and prepares/presents data and recommendations of Takeda and market compensation data to align to competitive market.
- Using MarketPay, and responsible for reviewing and updating the region's 120 regular, premium, sales, and targeted salary structures during the annual refresh process and for communication to Local HR.
- Leads targeted market data benchmarking, analysis, and salary structure projects related to Emerging Markets, such as sales structure pay mixes/methodology, targeted market/site salary structure methodology, design and benchmarking, and BU expansion in GEM markets.
- In coordination with other Market Insights team members and HRIS, evaluates large sets of data for upload into MarketPay and/or Workday to refresh salary structures, job profiles, and other compensation-related plans and manages data transfer process.
- Leads or supports other Market Insights global projects to build compensation best practices, such as global match validation, global survey matching matrix, STIP or LTIP global refresh.
Skills and qualifications:
- Degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Executes complex compensation market data analyses independently, can draw insightful conclusions from complex datasets, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Analyzes data meticulously; sets high standards for data accuracy and presentations back to stakeholders.
- Manages and leads projects effectively, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
- Has a learning mindset and technical aptitude; learns systems and frameworks quickly; expert user of Microsoft Excel, MarketPay and Workday
- Performs advanced data auditing, identifying issues and recommending enhancements to processes and systems.
- Is organized, collaborative, and communicative; keeps stakeholders informed of progress; proactively solicits feedback from HR and the team.
- Delivers effective presentations, translating complex details into understandable terms for various audiences.
- Generates creative solutions to problems; open to new ideas; possesses a "can do" attitude and is willing to help
