The role reports into the Senior Director of Communications for UK/EMEA.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Excellent verbal and written/ journalistic skills, with the ability to produce high-quality materials including messaging, press releases, articles, briefing documents, media pitches etc. with great accuracy.
  • Fluent German and English – written and spoken.
  • Proven experience in a communications role, ideally in B2B or tech PR within highly competitive industries such as sports, media, or betting.
  • Knowledge of betting, tech, business and sports business and media, particularly in Germany
  • B2B or tech PR experience working in a highly commercial environment, demonstrating the ability to discover stories and angles in-house and communicate benefits of business products and services externally.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex data-led information, translating it into more simple communications messaging, with proof points, for businesses.
  • Demonstrable line management experience, spanning team members new to communications as well as more experienced colleagues.
  • Strong 360-degree media relations skills, including digital, in both pro-active and issues-led situations.
  • Senior stakeholder management experience plus the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Exceptionally well-organised, diplomatic, and solutions oriented.
  • Strong worth ethic – is accountable, works smart and pushes self and others for results.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot issues before they become problematic and quickly adapt to changing requirements.
  • Attention to detail is a must for this role.

DESIRABLE SKILLS, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

  • Working knowledge of sports industry and federations.

Please note, this is not a sports consumer PR role.

OUR OFFER:

  • A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Offices in Europe, Asia and US).
  • Ability to shape your own workday and career via a clearly defined professional and personal development plan.
  • Opportunity to work with senior leadership, develop yourself and build your career within an inspiring and fast-growing company and digital sports environment.
  • Vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups which welcome all participants.
  • Hybrid work model.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

  • Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations.
  • Technical Assessment (if applicable): A short task to showcase your technical skills.
  • Two technical Interviews: Meet with the Technical team and Hiring Manager to dive into your solution and your expertise, as also discuss team fit.
  • Final Steps: Receive feedback and, if successful, an offer!

We keep it simple and aim to wrap up the process within 3 weeks.
