Role Description 

The role is ideal for someone who is eager to get into the world of media and learn everything digital and comms from the ground up.

The role is varied from finance and administrative duties initially however also focusses on supporting the team on forming communication strategies, creating media plans, and working closely with third parties.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a strategic & creative comms media team. You won’t be expected to have experience but we do expect you to have a true passion for digital and have your own opinions from day one.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the different business units within IPG, such as Kinesso, Rapport, AV and Partnerships to ensure the day to activity is running smoothly
  • Work closely with the ad operations team to traffic our media and ensure campaigns go live as planned, and are tracking performance correctly
  • Provide regular reporting on campaign performance to the team and clients
    • These reports are primarily in Excel and are used to monitor performance and understand what tactics work best. An analytical and inquisitive mind is important here as any insights will help inform future activity
  • Post campaign analysis
    • This will roll up all the reporting at the end of a campaign to show the client what worked, what didn’t and how we recommend moving forward
  • Entry of media investments into accounting system
    • These are large sums of money so attention to detail is a must
  • Reconciliation of campaign delivery and costs 
    • Ensuring that media suppliers and internal teams have delivered the value we booked
    • Ensuring bookings between these companies and UM are correct
    • Monitoring campaign budget pacing throughout campaigns
  • Compiling competitive reports
    • Helping clients to understand what their competitors advertise, where and how much they spend
  • Audience Research
    • Using audience insight tools such as YouGov and TGI to pull audience insights and data points to help clients fully understand their target market
  • Relevant account management administration e.g. status meetings, competitive analysis, MEA’s, meeting agendas, contact reports and general team coordination, attention to detail and time management.

  • Have a genuine interesting in the digital world, big data, future trends and what’s next.
  • Highly personable with a collaborative spirit, someone who thrives in, and helps create a positive and powerful team dynamic
  • Driven and pro-active, always looking to make positive contribution and get involved
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Competent in Excel, PPT, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong numerical ability with very good attention to detail
