Make your mark in Communications

The Marketing & Communications team contributes to shaping AIG's corporate reputation, global brand and valuation in the marketplace and supporting AIG’s businesses to help strategically position them for continued growth and profitability. Our multi-disciplinary global team acts as an in-house “agency” – deploying high-quality external and internal campaigns and events that inspire, inform and engage our colleagues, clients, partners and other stakeholders.

How you will make an impact

This is fantastic role within our International Marketing & Communications team where you can really make your mark coordinating and connecting all communications internationally. You will work with the international Marketing & Communications leadership team around the world, and the International Executive Team, who are predominantly based in London, and you will have the opportunity to work across global markets.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Lead international communications programmes and projects to support the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) for AIG International Commercial and Global Personal.
  • Develop and maintain the marketing & communications activity calendar ensuring alignment across regions, functions, and lines of business.
  • Drive engagement programmes for covering internal and external communications, content creation, channel management, deployment, and reporting.
  • Work closely with internal communications teams across the business to facilitate best practice sharing and communications coordination across regional teams, collaborating with Global teams to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Ensure messages are aligned, consistent and coordinated across the internal communications teams across the globe
  • Draft compelling communications materials, including articles, scripts, and presentations to support key initiatives and leadership messaging.
  • Establish a framework for tracking and reporting regional communications and engagement, ensuring consistency, effectiveness, and measurable impact.
  • Coordinate international communications and programmes – aligned to our purpose & values, business updates.
  • Work with international business leaders to draft leadership communications.
  • Work on global comms related projects.
  • Develop written corporate material for different outlets, including change communications
  • Manage and develop content for the intranet and other digital channels.
  • Brand, purpose and values programme management across International.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Communications, Journalism or Editorial qualification.
  • Proven experience in communications and engagement roles within a complex, international organisation.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams, stakeholders and geographies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content development for diverse audiences, and creating/writing content from scratch.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build relationships and drive collaboration across regions, business units, and functions.
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to align communications with business objectives.
  • Ability to manage a complex workload and work autonomously to tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing internal and external communications channels, including digital platforms, leadership messaging, and engagement initiatives.
  • Data-driven approach to measuring communications impact and optimizing engagement strategies.
  • A great team player who is confident, proactive and self-motivated.
