Job Description:

This position within the Marketing Department of Alantra, a leading global investment banking and asset management firm, is responsible for planning and execution of the Firm’s content and support in the planning and execution of events for the Firm. This position will work collaboratively with the Global Head of Communication and Marketing and other members of Alantra’s Communication & Marketing Department across institutional marketing, digital marketing, and external and internal communications to optimize the firm’s return on its overall marketing efforts.

The successful candidate will also manage ad hoc marketing projects as they arise, remaining aware of transaction activity across the business. The Marketing Manager is responsible for providing regular project updates to the Communication & Marketing Director regarding marketing objectives, strategies, timing, and new initiatives.

We are seeking a self-motivated idea generator with a forward-thinking perspective. The ideal candidate will be ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively, and have a vested interest in Alantra’s marketing strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engagingly proposing copy concepts and leading the creation of various types of content pieces (e.g., quarterly newsletters, reports, white papers, and annual recaps of deal case studies), focusing on positioning key global sectors Alantra is active on.
  • Become versed in Alantra’s go-to-market strategies by engaging with its different business leaders to become an active contributor to the marketing and content strategy to support their commercial activities.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Marketing team to brainstorm and develop various marketing materials.
  • Ensure the maximization of marketing opportunities associated with content production by adapting content for multiple digital channels, including social media, email, and website.
  • Review copywriting of all content produced by the Firm and internal and external communications, including new hires, deal announcements, and other strategic developments.
  • Provide meaningful input in developing marketing plans, particularly the Firm’s annual content calendar.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to plan and execute business-specific and firm-wide conferences, webinars, speaking engagements, and other client events.
  • Support developing an event program, either proprietary or 3rd party events, in collaboration with the Marketing Team.
  • Maximize the return on event-related opportunities such as officer speaking engagements and firm sponsorships through on-site branding, collateral materials, and 1x1 meetings.
  • Manage the production and approval of all collateral materials related to an event, creating and distributing pre-and post-event communications.
  • Create and manage effective timelines, accountabilities, and milestones while setting expectations of management and other project stakeholders and proactively communicating project status to the team.
  • Maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Research and analyze current marketing efforts in the organization's and the market's larger context.
  • Support in preparing marketing activity reports to executive management.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree with an emphasis on marketing or communication is highly preferred.
  • Ideally, 5+ years of marketing experience encompassing collateral production and events in a professional services firm, preferably in the investment banking industry
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.   
  • London-based role suitable for a native English speaker
  • Enjoys working in an international, geographically dispersed and matrix-led business
  • Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to see programs from start to finish
  • Meticulous attention to detail and pride in ownership
  • A solid understanding of, experience, and expertise in professional services brand management and marketing, preferably within the investment banking industry
  • A strong team player who is comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Flexibility – an ability to adapt to a rapidly changing market
  • An understanding of media relations and marketing communications strategies
  • Familiarity with creative design techniques and fundamentals. Good knowledge of design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc) is a plus
