JOB TITLE: Comms/Content Designer (12-Month FTC)
SALARY: £68,202 - £75,780
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full-Time
DURATION: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our London office.
About this opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Communications Manager to join our Enterprise Experience Design team and support our Emerging Technology and Innovation (ET&I) colleagues.
This role is integral to shaping, curating, and driving our internal and external communications strategy for ET&I. You'll play a pivotal role in managing communications across various channels, ensuring they are engaging, impactful, and aligned with our strategic goals – from planning through to execution.
 

You'll collaborate with a team of product owners and designers within the ET&I space, bringing our ideas to life for the wider LBG community. Your role will involve:

  • Evaluating and optimising existing communication channels, streamlining processes where necessary.

  • Developing communications strategy and implementing an internal and external communications and engagement plan.

  • Utilise your UX, Visual and Content Design skills to produce engaging content that clearly communicates the ethos, achievements and impact our ET&I colleagues are delivering.

  • Plan, organise and host internal and external events.

  • Effectively analysing and measuring the impact of all communications.

  • Ensuring the production of high-quality communication materials across channels such as email newsletters, our social Viva Engage community and podcasts.

  • Overseeing content and structure management on SharePoint.

  • Proofreading and creating engaging content with a focus on different target audiences to ensure communications resonate effectively.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in developing a communications strategy for both internal and external audiences.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent UX, Content and Visual Design crafts.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

  • Experience in planning and launching communications across various internal and external channels.

  • Strong competency in information gathering and stakeholder engagement/management.

  • Experience in promotional visual design (print and digital), with familiarity in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Synthesia.

  • Experience in planning and hosting events.

And someone who is

  • Confident and proactive in bringing ideas to the table.

  • A strong storyteller capable of crafting compelling narratives and measuring the impact.

  • Independent and persistent in chasing content when necessary.
