About the Role:

At PitchBook, employees are our customers, and customers are king! The Commissions team supports the responsible growth of PitchBook by providing actionable insights on the company’s financial health, all while working with a fun, energetic team!

As a Commission Analyst, you will support the administration of variable compensation programs for Commercial Sales teams (Account Management, Business Development, Customer Success, etc.). This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments. You will assist in commission calculations, reporting, and process improvements while gaining exposure to incentive program design and system administration.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and process monthly and quarterly commission payouts accurately and on time
  • Maintain commission data in systems (e.g., Spiff) and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Assist in updating quotas and commission plans under guidance from senior analysts
  • Prepare and distribute commission reports for Sales, Finance, and Leadership
  • Respond to inquiries from sales representatives regarding commission calculations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support audits and data validation to ensure accuracy of payouts
  • Collaborate with Finance and People teams to maintain commission-related records in Workday
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to documentation updates
  • Participate in projects related to commission system enhancements and incentive programs
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors 
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Finance, HR, or Business Administration roles
  • 2+ years working with commission systems (Spiff preferred) and CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of basic sales compensation principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
